Sunbathe Safely: Waterproof Sunscreen
How waterproof or water resistant sunscreen?
If you want to swim to cool off and at the same time be protected against injuries that can cause the sun on the skin, make sure that the sunscreen is waterproof or water resistant (waterproof). A waterproof sunscreen stand 80 minutes of immersion baths or 4 20 minutes without disappearing. If the sunscreen is waterproof, can swim 40 minutes or 2 baths 20 minutes without being removed. However, this only applies if air-dry (no towel) and the amount recommended by the manufacturer. It is recommended an additional layer provided prior to each time we go to take a bath, as a measure to ensure optimal sun protection.
Apply a thick layer of protective is the key
An adult should apply a sunscreen layer that corresponds to 30g or 40g, while a child needs about 20g to cover the entire body. Generally only used one third of the amount needed and, therefore, protection is not as effective as we think.
Apply sunscreen before going out
You need to apply the sunscreen at least half hour before sun exposure, and in an amount sufficient so that the skin is completely impregnated after having smeared the cream.
