Hyperthyroidism and Natural Solutions

Hyperthyroidism and Natural Solutions

The thyroid is an endocrine gland that produces two main hormones, T4 (tetra-iodothyronine or thyroxin) and T3 (triiodothyronine), which regulate the rate at which the body uses fat, protein and carbohydrates. Its operation is very powerful but extremely fragile and as leverage, a slight disorder of the thyroid gland can cause a chain of serious consequences. Thus, an overactive thyroid gland speeds up the metabolism, sometimes 60% to 100%.

The thyroid is far from working in isolation. The balance of thyroid metabolism is intimately linked to the couple hypothalamus-pituitary. For it is the hypothalamus that control the pituitary gland to produce hormone TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone for). In turn, TSH stimulates the thyroid hormone that it produces hormones. This explains why, in situations of hyperthyroidism, the TSH level is low because the pituitary gland tries to “calm down” the thyroid gland.

* First is the dandelion which the bitter principle is totally directed liver. It’s everywhere, even in the lawns of public parks. You can eat it raw, seasoned as a salad, or mixed, raw or cooked, with mashed potatoes. It can also be incorporated into a soup. In addition, the properties of dandelion are many more as drains the gall bladder, kidneys and eliminates uric acid and cholesterol.

* The second plant health-spring nettle. While some eat it raw in salads, I find it more prudent to consume cooked in soup, mixed with potatoes and other assorted vegetables (carrots, leeks, turnips, onions …).
Recall that the nettle is a powerful purifying, regenerating blood, anti-anemic, general stimulant and anti-rheumatic.

For those with a juicer, Dr. Long advised 100 ml per day of juice of the nettle against internal and external bleeding, hemorrhoids and enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine). But the juice of nettle can be eaten simply for the over-achiever. I also mentioned the development of fashion juice bars especially popular in England.

Diomega for Premenstrual Syndrome and Menopause

Diomega for Premenstrual Syndrome and Menopause

Premenstrual syndrome is a term often not experienced in women due to various painful events:

* Abdominal bloating

* Nausea
* Breast pain and swelling.

These disorders are caused by hormonal imbalance, especially a hyperfolliculinism, itself linked to a deficiency of prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). However, the PGE1 stimulates production of progesterone antagonist folliculin somehow.
The PGE1 can only be synthesized from an essential fatty acid: gamma linolenic acid, omega 6 in the series (6 ?) found in vegetable oils (unsaturated fats).

But there is a critical complementary: alpha linolenic acid in the series of omega 3 (? 3), who finds himself in fish oils (unsaturated fats).
The problem is what is the proper ratio of balance between the ? 6 saturated fat and unsaturated fat ? 3 to be in good health.
